Best Vampire Movies

So what are the best Vampire Movies of all time? Which are your favorites? Do you have a favorite - I know I do! In fact, probably a few dozen anyway (if not more). No one is ever going to agree on everything but we can all agree that certain vampire movies really appeal to us. So let's take the time to discuss a few, shall we? First of all, let me state up front that I do like vampire movies of all kinds. I have been a friend to many different famous vampires in many different vampire flicks over the years.

Horror films, not necessarily the ones with ever higher body counts, but the ones that have a supernatural entity as a major character are a huge fave of mine. I don't know why, but for some reason this seems to be the main genre of horror films that I love.

But my favorite vampire films do seem to have many of the same things in common. Vampire movies, by definition, may be gory, some more so than others - that's simply a given based on how vampires feed. But I don't necessarily care for excessive, crazy, gory, bloody scenes for no other reason than to show blood flying all over the place. I don't think that gore for gores sake adds much to the story - but that's just me.

Next, I love action. And since vampires typically have additional special powers - exceptional strength, some are experts with weaponry, they can move really fast and some can even fly - in most vampire flicks, that's a given. And also one of my favorite parts. I love a movie with some activity going on in the storyline - and lots of it!

Next, some vampires have the ability to transform into other kinds of beings - bats, wolves, even mist - and we get to see that on screen. You have to admit it - that is just plain cool! And some vamps have extra sensory powers - meaning that they can read minds, see the future, bend others to their will via eye mesmerization techniques, while others can control animals and even possess a human servant all their own. All interesting to watch as events unfold.

And lastly, the best Vampire movies, the ones that I really love the most, all have a fairly good story. After all, if there is no story worth spending time with, why would I watch it in the first place? I want to be entertained, scared a little bit, surprised and enthralled by the events unfolding before my eyes just the same as any other person. So let's talk about a few of my votes for best vampire movies ever below.

Submit Your Vampire Movie Review Here

Do you have a great review about about your favorite vampire movie? Especially a vampire movie that we haven't already talked about? Then, please, share a review of your favorite vampire movie with us all here now!

It must be:

• a good review,
• well written (no typos, misspells, bad grammar or $%#$@! language),
• and at least 300 words,

including exact title of the movie, and a good enough description to let anyone know, that has not already seen the film, exactly what it is about with enough information to help the viewer decide whether or not it is something they want to watch - with out giving away any major plot surprises.

I will happily add all viewer submitted vampire movie reviews to our list here - complete with credit to the reviewer - as long as they fit the 3 rules listed right above.
